INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION-HAYMARKET RIOT

FIRST: We will take them to the haymarket riot bombing building and read them the captions on the statue and show them the building which is across the street and let them know how many people were injured and how many were killed.

the first thing we will let you know is.................

1. the haymarket square riot stroke may4,1886 in chicago.
2.the riot killed seven policemen and injured seventy people.
3.the riot terribly damange growing labor movement.
4.they found eight people and they were found guilty for instigating the man who threw the bomb.
5.four of the men were hanged because they thought they were the main ring leader, one man killed his self in jail and several years later they were set out of jail to live a life of there own.
6.the judge let the remaining three free because he figured they had no proof to say they had to stay in jail.

the next thing we will do is.......................

we will take them across the street and ask them what they know about the bombing
let them ask us question and then answer them

GET ON THE BUS AND LEAVE.....................................
